EEBA Annual Meeting Goes Virtual for 2022
The XXXIII Annual Meeting of the European Eye Bank Association (EEBA 2022) will be organized as a virtual event, and run from 3rd - 5th March 2022, due to the continuing uncertainty relating to COVID19 health and travel restrictions. We are sorry that we won’t have the honour and privilege of welcoming you in person to Liverpool as originally planned. Nevertheless, although EEBA 2022 will be a different experience, we are confident that the platforms that we have available, and our creative programme design and promotion, will ensure that the ‘re-imagined’ EEBA 2022 will succeed in being an exciting, welcoming and interactive scientific and learning experience.
A dynamic Virtual EEBA 2022 will open up a whole new audience of potential delegates and expand our community, providing an exciting platform and opportunity to communicate our eye bank, surgical and research activities even further afield, as well as allowing for more interesting discussions and side-meetings. Equally, this may herald a new approach to future EEBA events, re-imaging the online element, which will no doubt become more commonplace in future as we try to reduce the carbon footprint related to air travel and in-person events.
We will deliver an innovative programme with oral and poster sessions, and also a variety of online opportunities for supporting sponsors and exhibitors. We will extend our Liverpudlian welcome to all and provide occasions for network meetings and online social and cultural interactions.
Our conference provider is highly experienced in managing virtual scientific events and we will endeavour to maximize the online facilities available to deliver an EEBA Annual Meeting that meets the expectations of EEBA Members and the eye banking community.
We warmly invite you to join us at EEBA 2022 and to this end we hereby inform you that registration and abstract submissions are now open:
