The European Eye Bank Association (EEBA) is a technical-scientific organization comprising individual and non-profit institutional members from eye banks across Europe and beyond.
In consideration of the recent Coronavirus outbreak, members of the Global Alliance of Eye Bank Associations (GAEBA) have consolidated international responses in relation to ocular tissue donation so as to issue a global alert outlining those recommendations that apply to both active transmission zones and non-effected zones (https://www.gaeba.org/2020/alert-coronavirus-2019-ncov-and-ocular-tissue-donation/).
As Germany’s largest network for tissue donation, processing and transplantation, the German Society for Tissue Transplantation (DGFG) is looking forward to hosting the XXXII Annual Meeting of the European Eye Bank Association in Hannover from 16-18 January 2020.
The European Eye Bank Association (EEBA) is a technical-scientific organization comprising individual and non-profit institutional members from eye banks across Europe and beyond. Founded with the simple objective of sharing information regarding eye-banking, the Association is today the leading pan-national association in Europe.

It is my great pleasure to address you as the new EEBA President, and to present you with my vision for the three years of my Presidency. I would like to express my gratitude to the Immediate Past President John Armitage for his achievements in the development of the Association.
