Membership - Ordinary and Institutional

Membership

Individuals and non-profit institutions who wish to become Members of the Association are expected to share the Mission and Aims of EEBA and abide by its Rules and Standards.

The Committee may recommend the removal of any Member of the Association if in the opinion of the Committee there has been a violation of the Mission and Aims of the Association or if the interests of the Association require it. Such recommendations must be submitted to a Business Meeting of the Association and will become effective only if at least 21 Members are present and two-thirds of those voting are in favour

Membership benefits include:

  • Receipt of a personal copy of the EEBA Annual Directory;
  • Reduced registration fee for the EEBA Annual Meeting;
  • Participation in elections for membership of EEBA Committees;
  • Access to Members-only web resources and an all-Member electronic newsletter;
  • Educational opportunities.

 

Ordinary Members

Ordinary Membership is on an individual basis.

Application for Ordinary Membership of the Association must be made to the Secretary on the appropriate form and must be accompanied by the membership fee.

Ordinary Members pay an annual membership fee at a rate which will from time to time be determined at a Business Meeting of the Association.

The fee is payable in advance and becomes due on 1 July of each year.

At present membership fees are 90 Euro per year for Ordinary Individual Members and there are currently over 200 individual members from over 80 individual eye banks, and donor tissue-related organisations.

Institutional Members

Institutional Membership is open to non-profit institutions supportive of the Mission and Aims of EEBA

Application for Institutional Membership of the Association must be made to the Secretary on the appropriate form and be accompanied by the membership fee. The Committee will accept or reject applications, and will inform the full Membership of the names of successful applicants

Institutional Members pay an annual membership fee at a rate which will from time to time be determined at a Business Meeting of the Association.

The fee is payable in advance and becomes due on 1 July of each year.

At present Institutional membership fees are 450 Euro per year.
